Feels a bit unfinished, visually it could be better (you can find free textures online), the music kind of starts and stops abruptly and the game is usually only silent, the game runs at a weird 16 FPS considering there's nothing happening, not sure why it's not running at 60.

Takes a while to get your footing on game development, I encourage you to continue chipping away at it to make it feel more interesting.

JumptoJumpCompany responds:

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback, we are aware that the game feels unfinished, we are planning to add more to make it more interesting. For each of your points, here is our response:

1.We will consider the idea of adding more textures, including animation.
2.We have plans to change the way the music plays in the next version.
3.16 FPS is the default frame rate in this game, but we will try to change it.

I hope you still enjoyed the game nonetheless,

Thanks for reading!

It looks great and I do love the music. I just feel like there's something lacking, I don't feel like I'm doing anything of note in the game aside from navigating to the end. The graphics look nice, but also ends up feeling a bit repetitive, nothing really stands out. I think there's a lack of having an X factor to the game, something in the playability that makes it stand out.

If you compare to Super Mario Wonder, in the first stage, we get a powerup we've never seen before in another Mario game, and a Wonder star which makes the game change in an unexpected way. It's that surprise that personally drives me forward and the ability to do something that I don't do in other games.

Best of luck with the launch though!

JG0328 responds:

Thanks a lot for playing!! I really appreciate the feedback.

Couldn't find file 'gui/overlay/main_menu.png', using a Chromium browser on Windows 10. Game never started.

EDIT: Updated the score, feels like a pretty early game in general. Menu is grey over grey, choices are dark blue with a black background, the story feels pretty short in general. It's a start I'd say.

Beeetelgeuse responds:

The 'start' button is not that visible now that I see it, but it's on the left in light gray. The 'gui/overlay' error is unrelated and I've spent like half an hour trying to fix it, but it's purely visual, it has no effect on the game once it starts.

I found the car movement to be too slow and generally too stiff. Could use more variety in general.

CelloGiraffe responds:

I gave the car less friction and more speed. Hopefully it helps!

It was unfortunately completely broken for me, and then an MIT URL poped up.

Dreaminggirl responds:

i will I'll fix it

This is really cool and so well made, huge kudos.

emontero responds:

Thanks a lot for playing!

It's ok? Feels like it was maybe overly simple...

Response: I'll look forward to seeing how the game evolves over time, love to see it grow!

Matth33w responds:

it was pretty much a proof of concept.
currently the source code makes it playable on desktop, web and mobile. (didn't released the mobile binary yet, but it's on the way)
thanks for the feedback btw, i plan to add more features to it eventually.

Played this game during the Ludum Dare, really fun stuff with the 2 gameplay styles which provides great variety. It really shows what a few devs can accomplish in a mere 72 hours.

I'd make a pun about the fact that it's all bees (this game is the bee's knees, it's unbeelievable), but I don't want to ruin anyone's buzz.

BluePinGames responds:

Thanks for the kind words! We're hoping that, if people like this version, we'll be able to commit to a full release!

Passionate game developer, made a JRPG, a card game, a racing game and more, now making cool Newgrounds titles.
